Who is Simon Ho?
Simon Ho is a young Pasadena, CA entrepreneur who
can see the San Gabriel Mountains to the north from his corner office
and the busy streets leading south to trendy Old Town Pasadena and
the Paseo. At age 27, he is the owner of Pinnacle Exchange, an investment
company specializing in Foreign Exchange. Despite his youth, he
sounds and acts like a seasoned investor - one who is cautious and
has built his success on years of experience. Simon started investing
using his own money at age 19 when he mowed neighborhood lawns,
earned $1,000 and invested the sum in stocks, which gave him a modest
return. He combined his hard, physical work with knowledge that
he gained through a systematic study of investment options and economics.
"I
spent a lot of time doing analysis and I discovered the principle
of leverage, which attracted me to commodities. I did that for half
a year and made some more money but the returns weren't great,"
he says.
A friend introduced him to Foreign Exchange. Once
he discovered how leverage could work more effectively, Simon has
"loved it as an investment option ever since."
He began trading his own money in foreign exchange
nearly six years ago and he learned that large corporations and
banks, including the Federal Reserve, invest heavily in foreign
exchange. He concluded that more individuals should be aware that
they, too, can profit from the activities so he began handling investments
starting with his family and friends. Personally, Simon prefers
it as a primary investment vehicle.
"It's easier to predict the direction of a
currency than where any major corporation will be in six months,"
he says. "There are many opportunities to leverage money so
that an investor gains a higher profit per dollar invested when
compared to other options."
Simon took his real-world successes and education
another step further when he founded Pinnacle-Exchange two years
ago on the core value that individual investors gain the knowledge
and understanding they need to build their portfolios successfully.
He believes in personal consultation and small group gatherings
to help prospective investors understand if this option is right
for their needs and style.
"I can assist someone in managing their portfolio
directly or I can give them the training and on-going consultation
they need to trade on their own."
Since Pinnacle-Exchange's founding, Simon has built
a strong foundation through his personal research and knowledge
of the industry. He doesn't believe in trying to sell investors
on foreign exchange; however, his passion is to educate, inform
and patiently answer all questions. Simon holds regular workshops
that give an overview of the foreign exchange process, and he also
offers individual counseling. Once prospective investors have a
complete understanding of the system, the technology that's available
to help them trade and how it can fit their individual financial
goals then it's easy to make a decision whether or not to invest.
"Casual investors may hear 'Foreign Exchange'
and think it's a big risk. But they need to have the complete picture.
It's like jumping out of an airplane," said Simon. "If
I told you that I'd give you one million dollars to jump out of
a plane without a parachute then you'd likely say 'no way' and walk
away. But you didn't give me a chance to tell you that the plane
is on the ground."
He acknowledges that every one has different investment
needs, but complete, factual information makes it easy for investors
to decide if foreign exchange is the right option for their personal
style.
